Administration - Front Desk

The day-to-day operation is run by Our full time staff of 20 employees led by the General Manager, and staff increases to 55 during the summer season. They are organized in a number of departments each with their responsibilities that you can read more about below. The Association office is located at 356 Ala Wai Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe.
The office is open Monday through Sunday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Who do I contact?

The main contact point is the front desk. Below you can read more about the different services they provide. On other pages here you can read more about the other departments and their responsibilities. Our General Manager is available to answer questions about the day-to-day operation of the association, if these questions cannot be answered by the staff.

The following is a description of services provided by the Front Desk for all homeowners, renters, and other guests who either call or visit the front office:

Member Services:

  • Greet and assist homeowners, contractors, long-term and short-term renters and guests
  • Receive Payment of HOA dues and provide date stamped receipt;
  • Obtain AUTO/Vehicle parking stickers, hangtags and temporary hangtags;
  • Obtain BOAT stickers, hangtags and temporary hangtags to homeowners, long-term/short-term renters and guests;
  • Obtain homeowner, long-term and short-term ID cards and passes;
  • Obtain, File, pay fee and get receipt for all ACC applications;
  • Obtain copies of Documents.
  • File and update homeowner account information
  • Prepare and send out new homeowner packets
  • Answer general questions regarding TKPOA, rentals, use, and other requests;
  • Radio in harvester/skimmer requests for weed pickup and/or cleanup

Other duties:

  • Receive and reply to phone calls and emails
  • Receive mail, open, date and time stamp and distribute accordingly
  • Photocopying and scanning
  • Reconcile cash register
  • Prepare mail, Fed Ex, Certified Return Receipt, etc.
  • Create and post announcements, meeting schedules, closures, holiday hours, etc.
  • Assemble Board Packets for delivery to board members
  • Type correspondence as needed for any department, board member or committee
  • Order office supplies and keep supply closet orderly and stocked
  • Prepare lobby and/or conference room for meetings
  • Fill out HOA information requests
  • Assist Administrative Assistant with miscellaneous tasks
  • Maintain announcement bulletin board (front of office) and on website
  • Photocopy, label and mail quarterly newsletters (various cove advisors)
  • Answer any questions/inquires that people have (i.e., meeting dates, bear info., harvesting questions/requests, etc.)

Association Dues

Quarterly Payments

The TKPOA Board of Directors approved sending quarterly payment invoices instead of a yearly coupon book for this fiscal year at the September 15th, 2015 Joint Board Meeting. Please submit a check with your POA account number for your payment along with the top portion of the invoice enclosed in the return envelope. Your payment should be sent in the enclosed return envelope directly to the Tahoe Keys POA Lockbox Account at the Roseville Bank of Commerce (P.O. Box 1026, Roseville CA 95678). Quarterly Assessments are due on the 1st of each Quarter. A 30-Day Grace period allows you to schedule the payment at your own convenience. All payments not received by the 30th of the month are considered late and will be charged a 10% late fee. Postmarks are NOT honored, so please mail early.

Your quarterly dues are billed as follows:

Automatic Payments

The Association now offers (ACH) Automatic Electronic Transfers for your annual and quarterly assessments. Pre-authorized electronic payments mean that homeowners can pay their assessments automatically without writing checks, thus eliminating the potential for late fees.

Funds are scheduled to be transferred on the last business day prior to the Last Day listed in the above schedule. Complete the form below, include a voided check and simply mail your form back. It takes approximately 4 weeks for the Direct Debit Authorization to be confirmed. You will receive a letter confirming your Authorization when it has been finalized. In my twenty nine years in the Hospitality and Association Management Business I have a well rounded career working as a General Manager of two resort hotel properties at world class ski resorts in the state of California, which included Home Owner Association, Property Management and Commercial Asset Management responsibilities. I have developed my skills working in the Rooms Division, Food and Beverage operational departments, in numerous management positions at ten different full service luxury hotel properties. I recently worked as the General Manager of a large-scale community for five and a half years in California. Bear Valley Springs Association which is a 25,000 acre gated planned community in a resort setting with 3,581 home sites, 220 employees, resort amenities, an operating budget of 6 million dollars and over 1 million dollars in Capital/Reserve projects planned per year.

Continuing my Association Management education I have obtained my California Real Estate Sales Persons License, through the Department of Real Estate. Through the Community Association Institute (CAI), I have completed the following certifications, Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), Association Management Specialist (AMS), and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM). I have completed my Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM) certification through the California Association of Community Managers (CACM). I have also completed my Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), Certified Room Division Executive (CRDE), and Certified Food and Beverage Executive (CFBE) certification through the American Hotel and Motel Association.

I joined Tahoe Keys Property Owners Association in November of 2014 as the Administrative Assistant to the Board of Directors and General Manager. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, I began my career working in Customer Service and Office Administration and Management for corporate businesses, most recently as Office Manager for Plasma Technology Systems, a sister company of Plasmatreat-US, which offers several different applications of surface area plasma treatment and sells and services plasma treatment machines. As the Office Manager, I supported the Sales and Service departments, and managed the Human Resource departments for the California, Illinois, and Canada offices.

I bring over 6 years’ experience in Operations, Project Management, Human Resources, and Payroll to my role at the TKPOA and am currently working on obtaining my Associates degree at Lake Tahoe Community College.

I moved South Lake Tahoe with my husband and dog in October 2014.
