The Notice to Proceed has been issued for West Channel Maintenance Dredging and Beach Replenishment Project and the contractor will begin mobilizing on March 23.
THE WEST CHANNEL WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL ACCESS FROM MARCH 23rd, 2015 to MAY 22nd, 2015 (Weather Permitting) NO ACCESS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO OR FROM THE TKPOA LAGOON VIA THE WEST CHANNEL OR ACROSS THE BEACH EAST OF THE CHANNEL OPENING DURING THE DURATION OF THIS PROJECT
Project Operations Staging, Storage and Access
Barges will be anchored inside the turbidity curtain enclosed area during the aquatic plant removal and dredging operations. Earth moving equipment will operate on the beach and will be parked on the private property at 219 Beach Drive when not in use. Trucks will carry some of the dredge spoils along Beach Drive, Ala Wai Blvd. and Dover Drive. In addition to using the private property at 219 Beach Drive for access and staging, Pacific Built will use the TKPOA owned boat ramps at E. Garmisch Way and Christie Drive. The TKPOA corporation yard will be used to house a project trailer and for storage of equipment.
