2015 Annual Director Election

Unfortunately there was a clerical error in the election material you have received. While the ballots for the Director Election that were previously distributed correctly noted that the maximum of three votes could be cast, there was an error on the accompanying Secret Ballot Instructions, which stated that the maximum was four votes.

In order to ensure that every member of the Association has the same opportunity to have their vote counted, we are redoing the Director Election balloting. To insure there is no confusion and that everyone’s votes are counted we will be sending out an explanation and a new ballot. The new ballots and voting instructions will be placed in the mail on Friday August 14th, 2015. If you have already returned your ballot it will not be counted so you must vote again using the ballot you will be receiving shortly. IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU VOTE USING THE NEW BALLOT YOU WILL RECEIVE.

The Annual Membership Meeting will be held as planned on September 6th, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the TKPOA Pavilion; however the director election ballots will not be opened and counted at that meeting.

A Board of Directors meeting will be held Saturday September 19th, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the TKPOA Pavilion located at 356 Ala Wai Blvd, South Lake Tahoe CA. The Election Ballots will be opened and counted at this board meeting by the Inspector of Elections and designated volunteers. At 2:30PM on Saturday September 19th, 2015 the Director Election Results will be announced and during this Board meeting Directors will be seated and Board Officers elected.

The balloting period for this election will close at 9:05 a.m. on Saturday, September 19th, 2015. If you elect to return this Secret Ballot by mail, the ballot must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18th, 2015. If you elect to return this ballot in person at the Pavilion Office, the Secret Ballot must be inserted into the ballot box prior to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18th, 2015. If you elect to return this ballot at the Board Meeting, it must be turned into the Inspector of Elections no later than 9:05 a.m. on Saturday, September 19th, 2015.

We apologize for the additional time required to complete and send this second ballot. The error was made by the office of Frei Real Estate Services for which they sincerely apologize and it will not in any way impede the business of the Association or result in any additional cost to the Association. The cost of producing and distributing the election material is approximately $5,600. Frei Real Estate Services will be covering the full cost of the second ballot package.
